Race day transfers or the car for the whole day
Most bookings are one of two kinds. A race day transfer is a chauffeur-driven car from your home, hotel or office to Flemington, with a return pickup at a time you choose. It comes from the same team that runs our everyday Melbourne chauffeur service, so pickups run from the CBD and suburbs right across the city.
If your plans are less fixed, keep the car with you. With our hourly car hire with a driver, the same vehicle and chauffeur stay with you for a set block of hours. Lunch in the city before the first race, the track through the afternoon and dinner afterwards all become one easy private car hire booking, and you leave the races when you are ready rather than when a pickup slot says so. Hourly hire is available on all four Spring Racing Carnival days.
The right car for the way you race
A couple or a small group usually travels in one of our executive sedans, such as a Mercedes-Benz E-Class or BMW 5 Series: quiet, comfortable and smart enough for the dress code. When the arrival matters as much as the day, for VIP guests, senior clients or a milestone celebration, our luxury sedans step up to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or Audi A8.
Coming straight from the airport with luggage, or bringing a change of shoes for the walk home? A premium SUV gives four passengers extra room for bags. Clients who prefer to travel electric can book a BMW i5, Mercedes-Benz EQ model or Tesla.
Groups stay together in a Mercedes-Benz V-Class for up to seven people or a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter mini bus for up to fourteen, so the whole table arrives at the gate at the same time. Larger vehicles are limited on Cup Day, so groups should book early.
Corporate marquees, groups and interstate guests
Cup Week is one of the busiest weeks of the year for corporate hospitality in Melbourne. If your company has a marquee or hospitality package, we plan every car around it: staggered pickups from different offices and hotels, passengers assigned to each vehicle on one run sheet, and invoicing to the company account.
Guests flying in for the Spring Carnival can have their airport arrival, hotel transfers, each race day and their departure flight on a single booking with one confirmation. One arrangement covers the whole week, and every movement is confirmed before they land.
Drop-off and pickup at Flemington Racecourse
Flemington's main entrance is the Main Gate on Flemington Drive, and Members with reserved car sites come in through Members Drive. Most racegoers arrive by train through the Train Gate or on the Route 57 tram, and taxis work from a single rank on Stables Drive, off Smithfield Road, which is where the longest queues build after the last race.
Tell us your ticket and enclosure when you book, whether that is Members, a Birdcage marquee, general admission or a hosted corporate marquee. We plan the closest permitted drop-off within the race day traffic plan and agree a pickup meeting spot with you. After the last race your chauffeur waits nearby and comes in once you message, so you skip the taxi queue instead of joining it.

Every quote is a fixed price, agreed before you book, and the price you accept is the price you pay, whichever of the four race days you travel. The price depends on your pickup suburb, the vehicle and whether you book a return transfer or hourly hire.
