Cancellation & Refund Conditions

This policy applies to all bookings made with The First Chauffeurs across Australia. Terms vary by booking type and are outlined in the relevant section below. All timeframes are calculated from the scheduled pickup time on your confirmation or invoice.

Airport transfers, point-to-point & hourly hire

More than 12 hours before pickup

No cancellation fee applies. Any amount paid is refunded in full.

Less than 12 hours before pickup

A cancellation fee of 20% applies. The remaining balance is refunded.

After chauffeur dispatch

If a chauffeur has already been dispatched, charges may apply up to the full service value, depending on time committed and driver allocation.

Rescheduling

If you need to change a pickup time, location or destination, please contact us as early as possible. Changes are subject to availability and may affect pricing. Any adjustment is confirmed before proceeding.

Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing fees charged by third-party payment providers may not be refundable. Refunds are typically completed within five to seven business days.

No-show

If a passenger is not present at the confirmed pickup location and cannot be contacted within a reasonable waiting period, the service may be treated as a no-show and charged up to the full service amount.

To cancel or change a service, reply to your confirmation email or contact us via the Contact page. Please include the passenger name and pickup time.

Transfers leaving metro areas & vehicles 7 seats and above

The following terms apply to reservations that at any point travel outside metro areas, and to all vehicles with 7 or more seats.

More than 48 hours before commencement

No cancellation fee applies. Any amount paid is refunded in full.

Between 48 and 12 hours before commencement

A cancellation fee of 50% of the total reservation value applies.

Within 12 hours of commencement

A cancellation fee of 100% of the total reservation value applies. No refund is issued.

For out-of-area or large vehicle changes, contact us as early as possible to avoid charges.

Multi-day events, exhibitions, conferences & international corporate engagements

The following terms apply to all multi-day event bookings, trade exhibitions, corporate conferences and reservations involving international clients or organisations. These terms also apply to any booking spanning three or more consecutive days.

More than 7 days before commencement

No cancellation fee applies. Any amount paid is refunded in full.

Within 7 days of commencement — bookings of 3 or more consecutive days

A cancellation notice of 7 or more days is required. Reservations cancelled within 7 days of the scheduled commencement date will attract a full charge for the first 3 days of the reservation per vehicle. Any remaining days beyond the first three are refunded.

Within 48 hours of commencement

A cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking value applies regardless of duration. No refund is issued.
